On April 8, Calvin McDonald, lululemon brand chief executive, announced a $2 million global grant fund to help brand ambassadors alleviate some of their financial distress.

Several yoga studios and gyms, including one set up by lululemon brand ambassador, have been closed to comply with the outbreak and government guidelines. McDonald said the $2 million grant will help fund the basic operating costs of the lululemon community, which is driven by brand ambassadors, and its gyms, which have been closed or have suffered significant financial losses due to the outbreak.

In addition, lululemon worked with brand ambassadors during the outbreak to design a series of online exercise classes, including fitness classes and yoga classes, to get people to exercise and stay healthy.
