A Virtual Tour of Reely Apparel: How We Ensure Quality in Every Stitch

1. Fabric Warehouse & Pre-Production Control

Every order starts with fabric verification. Before bulk cutting, we test:

GSM variance (±5% tolerance max)

Shrinkage rate (wash test at 40°C, tumble dry low)

Color Fastness (ISO standard rubbing and washing tests)

Elastic recovery rate (for swimwear stretch fabrics)

For swimwear, typical specs:

180–220 GSM nylon spandex

190–240 GSM recycled polyelastane

4-way stretch, 18–25% spandex

We do not cut bulk until lab dips are approved and shrinkage results are documented.

If shrinkage exceeds 3%, pattern grading is adjusted before cutting. That protects your size chart and reduces return risk in US and EU markets.

Lead Time impact:
Fabric testing adds 2–3 days but prevents weeks of claims later. That is a trade any serious brand should accept.

2. Cutting Room: Precision Before Speed

The cutting room determines whether your margin survives.

What You See on the Floor

CAD marker layout system

Automatic spreading machines

Straight knife and band knife cutting

Numbered bundle system

Why It Matters

Fabric utilization directly affects FOB price. A 3% marker improvement can reduce total fabric consumption significantly on large MOQ orders.

We calculate:

Fabric yield per marker

Lay height based on GSM and stretch

Relaxation time for spandex fabrics (minimum 12–24 hours)

Swimwear fabric must relax before cutting. If not, panel distortion occurs after sewing, increasing shrinkage rate and seam torque.

Each bundle is:

Size-labeled

Color-labeled

QC-stamped before moving to sewing

No anonymous piles. No guessing.

3. Sewing Workshop: Controlled Production Lines

This is where most factories fail. Not on samples. On bulk consistency.

Our sewing floor is divided into specialized lines:

Flatlock lines (4-needle 6-thread)

Overlock + coverstitch lines

Elastic attaching stations

Bartack reinforcement stations

Machine Setup

Needle gauge matched to fabric GSM

Thread tension calibrated per fabric type

SPI (stitches per inch) standardized per Tech Pack

Before bulk production:

APP Sample (Pre-Production Sample) is approved.

Line leaders receive the approved sample and Tech Pack.

First 5 pieces undergo inline QC.

We measure:

Seam stretch ratio

Thread break strength

Elastic recovery

Puckering under tension

If seam elongation does not meet 120% minimum stretch requirement for swimwear, the line stops.

No debate. Fix first. Produce later.

4. Inline Quality Control: AQL 2.5 Standard

We operate under AQL 2.5 inspection level for export orders unless otherwise specified.

Inline QC checks:

·Panel alignment

·Stitch density

·Label placement

·Measurement tolerance (±1 cm standard for swimwear)

·Color shade consistency under D65 lightbox

End-line QC:

·100% visual inspection

·Random measurement audit

·Stretch stress test on critical seams

·Bulk final inspection follows ANSI  ASQ Z1.4 sampling standards.

If your brand requires third-party inspection, we coordinate with SGS, BV, or Intertek before shipment.

5. Heat Setting & Shape Stabilization

For swimwear and high-stretch underwear, heat setting stabilizes fabric memory.

Process control:

Temperature: 160–180°C depending on fiber content

Time: 30–60 seconds exposure

Post-heat shrinkage recheck

Improper heat setting leads to post-wash distortion.

We re-measure shrinkage rate after finishing to ensure it remains under agreed tolerance.

6. Trimming, Final Finishing & Packaging Zone

This area determines retail readiness.

You will see:

Thread trimming stations

Metal detection machine (for EU compliance)

Steam pressing area (low pressure for swimwear)

Folding templates for packaging consistency

Packaging options:

Biodegradable polybags

Custom zip pouches

FSC-certified paper boxes

Barcode labeling per retailer requirement

Incorrect folding increases carton volume. That increases freight cost and impacts FOB competitiveness.

We calculate:

Units per carton

Carton dimension optimization

Container loading efficiency

These numbers matter when shipping 20,000+ pieces.

7. Production Flow Control & Lead Time Discipline

Typical swimwear bulk timeline:

Stage Days
Fabric sourcing 7-12
Lab dips & testing 3-5
Bulk production 20-30
Final inspection 2-3
Export booking 3-5

Total Lead Time: 35–45 days depending on MOQ and fabric availability.

Rush orders are possible but only if fabric stock supports it. Cutting corners on testing is not an option.

8. Fabric Performance Comparison Example

For buyers evaluating material upgrades, here is a quick comparison:

Metric Traditional Cotton Thermoregulating Smart Fabric
GSM 160-180 180–220
Cost Index 1.0 1.4–1.8
Cost Index Medium High
Shrinkage Rate 5-8% <3%
Color Fastness Moderate High
MOQ 800-1000pcs 1000–1500 pcs

Smart fabrics increase FOB but reduce claims and returns. For premium brands, the math often supports upgrading.

9. What This Means for Your Brand

When buyers visit random factories, they often see:

Sample room perfection

Bulk production shortcuts

No documentation

We document everything:

Fabric test reports

Shrinkage records

Inline QC logs

Final inspection reports

Your Tech Pack is treated as a production contract.

Measurement tolerance, stitch type, elastic width, thread composition-nothing is assumed.

If your Tech Pack lacks clarity, we flag it before sampling. That saves revision cycles and reduces development Lead Time.

Why Buyers Trust a Visible Factory

Trust is built on process visibility.

When you see:

Controlled cutting markers

Structured sewing lines

AQL 2.5 inspections

Heat setting discipline

Organized packaging flow

You understand risk is managed. That's what protects your brand in competitive US and EU markets.
